He has a broken foot. Tua has a better chance of playing IMO but I think Jalen could beat Oklahoma if called on to do it.Him and Marquise Brown - Brown is the truth at WR.

We aren't built to play that slow, but it's a good point.OU was tied with Army at the end of regulation 21-21 they had to have an OT to score 28.
What's the irony but Georgia can help us beat them again. No doubt we'll be examining what they didn't do in the first half and what they did do in the second. The thing that concerns me about Oklahoma is the extreme tempo that their offense operates at. It took an entire half for Georgia to get adjusted last year and that was with a month to prepare.
They actually do not go that fast this year. They are a run first offense this year, and they do not go any faster than most SEC teams. Alabama goes much faster than OU has so far this season. The thing that concerns me about Oklahoma is the extreme tempo that their offense operates at. Maybe but I do believe they will use tempo at designated times. Hugh Freeze was good at it. He went up tempo at times but not others and was very effective. I'm so interested to see how our defense does against them. They actually do not go that fast this year. They are a run first offense this year, and they do not go any faster than most SEC teams. It doesn't work that way.BIG 12 defenses:

I was just asking because they were talking about KM’s speed on a round table discussion on the sec network yesterday and it seemed like a worrisome point. Gene Chizik was discussing it and really doing a good job of breaking it down into understandable language. You specifically mentioned Skill Positions which most people consider to be WR/TE and maybe RB.
In what way would you specifically like to narrow and twist and contort comparisons down so that Oklahoma looks like world beaters and Alabama looks like the sisters of the poor?
You sure do advocate for the Sooners. I know our team would probably appreciate you having such rigorous support of their talent and abilities.
My point is no matter what 'Skill' position you want to talk about our guys are every bit as good or better than OU.
You act like it's Alabama who only has to be worried about OU and that OU doesn't need to be the least concerned about Alabama.
I just don't get it..... help me out here?
I take it with a grain of salt. Alabama was favored to beat Ohio State in 2014 and got trampled. Nothing is guaranteed in this scenario.BTW, FPI has Alabama projected with a 73.2% chance of winning this game - Clemson with a 71.4%. Those are HUGE percentages for the CFP.

Every single metric which compares teams has Alabama as having a significant advantage in this game, from RPI, to S&P+, to Sagarin - pick you metric, pick your formula. Sure, none of those metrics will win the game for Alabama, but I feel a lot better being favored in them all than I would feel if I were a Sooner fan.I take it with a grain of salt. B1GTide, Thanks for giving our Debbie Downers a ray of hope.
All of the teams that you have scored 50+ on have defenses similar to or better than OU's defense.I think Oklahoma is the worst possible opponent we could've drawn and we almost certainly have the hardest semis opponent. If we were going to get the 4th best team in the tournament, we'd be playing Notre Dame right now. They're awful on defense but we're gonna be under a lot of pressure to score because I don't think we're gonna just shut down this OU offense. We've scored 50 or more 8 times this season and I believe we're going to need the 9th to secure a win. Realistically the game is probably in the high 30s into the 40s but the mindset is probably gonna have to be going for the double nickel.
I know that he got injured in the game but Tua had a game like Jalen did against Auburn last year. Thank goodness Jalen came prepared for the moment.I think in this game we have to ask ourselves why we can't play worth crap in the first half. It's plagued us since the Miss State game. LSU was the last time I felt like we played well in the first half. We can't afford to suck for 30 minutes in the playoffs. I realize it's about mid season that everyone went to man defense and forced Tua to be more accurate but that doesn't explain it all. I hope it's just fatigue and they are energized again by time they play OU.
What game are we talking about?I know that he got injured in the game but Tua had a game like Jalen did against Auburn last year. Thank goodness Jalen came prepared for the moment.
