No one is making predictions, but Christian Barmore made a bit of a name for himself without playing in a game. The redshirt freshman did it on the practice field, selected by Bama coaches as a scout team player of the week nine times.
“And he deserved it,” said Tide Assistant Coach Brent Key, whose offensive line worked against Barmore each week.
Barmore, 6-5, 300, came to Alabama late last summer from Neumann Goretti High School in Philadelphia. He was ranked as one of the nation’s best defensive linemen after helping his prep team to an 11-1 record.
