Every now and then I hear some propaganda about the number of conference games the SEC plays (a ploy to try to push the SEC's SoS into suicidal territory). This overlooks the fact that the SEC is the toughest conference in college football, and that they didn't soften things up with the likes of Rutgers and Maryland.
Anyway, here's a picture showing the toughest schedules in college football over the past 10 years. For the record, Arkansas is #1, Auburn is #2, and Alabama is #3 (the reason the other two are ranked higher is because they have to play Alabama). The SEC places 10 in the top 21. That's ten schools ranked above playoff contenders like Clemson, Washington, Baylor, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
At this point anyone who complains about Alabama or the SEC's schedules in generally is either willfully ignorant, or simply an idiot.
