I can't believe there wouldn't be LONG LINES to want the keys to this offense though.
Well, we really don't know who Saban is talking to, and don't know how many he has talked to................we will just have to wait. There may very well be a few who want the job, but we wont know till it's announced...........unless someone here has some inside info ; )

How do y’all feel about a coach-in-waiting? Don’t ask me who because I have no clue lol. The upside to that would give some stability. I guess a downside would be like the Mac Brown ordeal.

Nope. How many times has that actually worked out and been beneficial?

True. I guess I bring that up because I worry that Saban has been so dominant for so long and been poached so many times that the probability of finding a “home run” that will last is slim to none.

If there were ever a time to up the ante and pay more for quality/commitment, now may be it. But I wouldn’t hit the panic button either. Key is to keep recruiting pipelines going and take your chances with the rest. Formula has worked pretty well for a decade.

It’s amazing how desperate everyone is these days. So many schools, so little success to show for so much expenditure and expectation. Of course it can get worse, the hole dug deeper.

I hope that doesn't happen. I'm sure Butch is a good guy, and probably has some football knowledge for some position, but Lord, I hope it isn't OC..............personally, I think Saban and Bama can do far better than that. Let him do his gig as associate head coach at Maryland...........

BJ could be a good OC with the other guys tasked with the recruiting legwork.

Tee Martin in talks with CNS? OC or QB coach? Great recruiter.

Bringing in Tee Martin signals desperation to me. I hope this is not true. If he couldn’t get it done at SC, what on earth would make one think he can get it done at Bama?
