He also noted that right now we as fans shouldn't overreact to whats been going on and that the team just need to focus on winning one game at a time.

They have the tools to be a dangerous team, they just have to remember that and get back to the things that made them successful in the earlier part of the season.
Wimp is out of touch on this subject. The fans haven't overreacted at all. He's got it right about the team though - take it one game at a time. The problem is, they haven't done that in 15 years or more.

Wimp never coached with social media. That alone changes the whole dynamic.

It does, but it can't be used as an excuse for the poor behavior of fans or the mental toughness of players. But, honestly, blaming this on the players is silly when you consider that every team under AJ has had the same problems with focus and fundamentals.

He knows how it works though. He's watched this dynamic explode like everyone else. It was easier to coach back then, for sure, without all of the distractions. But that is not Alabama's problem today and never has been. In fact, I would say fan behavior/reaction/attendance/etc is the very least of Alabama's issues.

Interesting Wimpís era was during the post-Bryant football malaise. Got fired right before the 1992 championship.

And Wimp's teams made us feel good during our post-Bryant failure in football.
