Georgia loses on free throw after fan tosses stuffed toy on court

Anytime a Georgia team loses, in any sport, it's a good day.

But the Technical seemed to be taking things a bit too far.

    a. a stuffed animal isn't going to hurt anyone
    b. obviously it had no detrimental effect on the State player shooting the FT
    c. we don't even know if it was a Dawg fan who threw it

    Nevertheless........

February 1972: We roar back against a fine UT team before a packed crowd at Coleman.
Ten seconds to go and we have the ball and a one-point lead, and oranges come flying out of the student section. Technical sends it to OT, fortunately we come back to win. Stupidest thing Iíve ever seen at a basketball game.

Hmmm...determining which team's follower threw the object? What if visiting team fan wears home team cap or shirt?

I cannot wait for the Oliver Stone movie about this incident.
    Architects do it with models.

Since the object thrown did not represent a threat of any kind to the players on the court and did not impact the shooter (it was behind him and well out of his field of vision), then a warning sounds like the right way to go. But let's not pretend like a single game during the regular season means anything in this sport.
