Ale is having some issues according to Saban. He may or may not be back.
"When asked about the absense of Ale Kaho “He’s got some issues that he’s dealing with, We’re trying to be supportive of him every way that we can. I think that we’ll just continue to try to help him every way that we can. I don’t know if there will be some point in time whether he’ll be ready to come back and play football or not.”

If you listen to what Saban says, and at least as importantly, what he doesn't say, you can usually get a pretty truthful picture of what's going on with the team.

If he expresses anything other than total confidence that Kaho will play again, that's a good indication that Saban thinks he won't play. Probably not anywhere, but highly unlikely in Tuscaloosa.

We as a fanbase need to wish the young men the best, but for different reasons, move on from Duron Carter (a joke at this point, I know), Ben Davis, and now Ale Kaho.

Let's concentrate on who can contribute, not who can't.

You can't reason a man out of a position he didn't reason himself into.

Well we only lost one game so it will be a pretty short redemption tour .

Who's to say that both can't contribute this year?

Regarding Kaho, Saban is quoted as saying publicly he doesn't know if there will be a time he will be ready to come back and play football or not. A public statement like that isn't encouraging.

Regarding Davis, it looks like he has shin splints, and won't be able to participate in spring practice to any meaningful extent. He's in his fourth year in the program, hasn't sniffed meaningful playing time, hasn't even gotten much, if any, garbage time, has been passed by multiple younger players, and Saban has said nothing to indicate anything has changed.

A sad state of affairs in view of their God-given talent, but draw your own conclusions.
