Ran across this article and thought that it might interest the rest of you. It would be interesting to see how someone like Barra might approach defense development.

Thank you, J Thomas......very good article. I remember well those layoffs, business decisions, and subsequent criticism.

Glad to hear the employees not headed to retirement were able to find new jobs at GM.

That these decisions were made when GM was NOT in crisis mode is a huge teaching moment for many.
