Re: CJ Mosley to Jets: 5yrs, $85mil

Growing up I loved teams that had Bama players on them (or guys from Alabama who didn't play for Auburn ) This meant I loved the Browns because of Ozzie Newsome. I loved the Steelers because of John Stallworth. I loved Miami (sort of) because of Bob Baumhower. I loved the Jets because of Marty Lyons and Richard Todd and Joe Namath. I loved the Raiders because of Kenny Stabler. ... and so on.

Certainly there were other guys who did well in the league but the above were the teams I followed closely.

Then there was a drought of many decent players playing on decent teams and I didn't rely on Bama heritage for deciding the teams I liked.

Now Bama guys are all over the league and dominating at their positions. Loving that these guys are doing well and making coin!

Does anyone know if CJ needs a best friend? 'Cause I'm available.

Lily (age 6): Daddy, I know what I want to be when I grow up: an artist.
Bodhi (internally groaning): Yeah? What kind of artist?
    Lily: A balloon animal artist!

Are we sure the Jets signed the former Bama LBer and not the 35 yr old DL?

Don't fell too bad about the Ravens losing a Bama player, they are signing Mark Ingram...

Ingram to the Ravens not a done deal yet. The Ravens are still in the running for Le'Veon Bell.

FYI the Falcons are about to sign James Carpenter.

I'm having my wife search Ancestry.com right now. I'm pretty sure I'm CJ's cousin . At least I wish I was.
I'm very happy all these guys are doing well!

At least a LB on a bad team is on his own. A quarterback or RB is dependent on good blockers for both production and not getting maimed on every play.

With the late night news of the Jets signing Leveon Bell, they might not be as bad as we originally thought.

The Browns and the Jets have been making some great offseason moves. They might not be terrible anymore.

I saw that this morning. Now it just depends on how much Darnold develops from rookie season to sophomore season. However, I'm still not sold on Gase as a head coach.

Browns seemed to have added the right pieces. They are going to be fun to watch.

Not as sold on the Jets yet. But their defense should be nasty.
