with all this talk about replacing Avery will she get the axe IMO she needs to. Greg Byrne needs to go hire a womens basketball coach.

And the women actually went to a Final Four under Rick Moody.
Curry took Purdue to the Final Four. This was her sixth season here. She is 98-96 and 30-66 in the SEC. Never had a winning season in the league.

Her surname should have warned us.

Agreed she probably needs to be replaced. Keep in mind though that her predecessor was an absolute disaster from the word go.
NonethelessGreg Byrne has his work cut out for him in the basketball dept. A program of our stature should have competitive basketball programs in both men’s and women’s.

I've been wondering about that, too.

Ironically, she was lucky we got smacked by Clemson in the CFBCG, the men's basketball team was imploding, and the softball team was running up a 33-game win streak. All the while, her team was just continuing the established pattern of mediocrity, but few noticed.

The fanbase and administration was so distracted, they just didn't pay much attention.

Note: Dang it, but the softball team's 33-game streak ended today, with a 4-3 loss to aTm in College Station. It was after run-rule wins in each of the first two games. Still a school-record streak, and one of the top 17 or so in collegiate history. Start a new streak, ladies!
