Some of you have never heard the name Kitty Genovese, who was murdered with a bunch of witnesses listening/watching and nobody helping or calling the police back in 1964. (Note: there were some inaccuracies in the original NYT article, but back then you didn't dare question the media, whose accuracy was as infallible as the Bible or so went the perception).
And I've been wondering how long until this happened.

Basically, a guy attacked a 78-year old woman on the NYC subway (back on March 10), and you had a bunch of folks wanting to be the next George Holliday (he's the guy who filmed the Rodney King beating) or Spielberg.
In the interest of honesty - I saw a man attack a woman in Copley Square (Boston) in 2015, but I was trapped in an elevator and couldn't do much of anything. Same thing there. Finally a few folks stepped in but still.
