What's the strongest quake you've ever felt? I felt the 4.4 TN/GA one in Atlanta around 415am back in December. Thought somebody had run into our house with their car!

The year escapes me now but we had an earthquake that was somewhere between a 4.4 and 4.8 in central AL. I thought a big truck was driving by the house making the windows rattle and the whole house rumble.

Back around 1990 there was a 2.x earthquake near Florence. My brother was working at Walmart putting together bikes in the stockroom. A bunch of boxes fell on top of him!

Back around 2003 there was a earthquake west of Athens Al that was early in the morning and woke me up with the stuff rattling in the house. Never knew the strength but was my first experience with one.

I think it was 2014 when I felt an earthquake about 10 PM. It was my first so I wasn’t sure until the next day at work someone asked if I had felt the earthquake. The odd thing about it was that I heard it coming and going. It moved from northwest to southeast. It was almost like a wave went under the house.

I was working in a bowling alley just northeast of Memphis when I felt this one. Not everyone noticed it but it was obvious to me. Told someone we just had an earthquake and he didn't believe me then came back later saying he had heard it on the news.

I was working at the bowling alley exactly one week before this when Bama lost to Indiana in the NCAA tournament. I kept finding excuses to go into the bar so I could watch the game on the TV set.
