Better is probably not the right word when debating who gets drafted before who. It usually comes down to build, combine, and team needs. Both Iowa tight ends are taller and are better or at the same combine grade than irv. Irv going first round was basically the Patriots or wait until tomorrow from the start.

Considering what they gave up to get the tackle, he better be amazing at blocking. The Falcons now no longer have a second or third round pick. and they still need defensive guys.

Belichick has been quoted in saying that he doesn’t draft based on talent but based on heart because everyone entering the draft is highly talented but not everyone entering the draft has the heart of a champion.

I’m done doubting his decision making during the draft and free agency because he has made us all look stupid with stories like getting a lacrosse player to be a 2 time Sb champion receiver.

I heard a lot of NFL people saying Wentz and Mahommes had huge ceilings because of their arm talent. They checked ALL the boxes save for experience with better competition in CW’s case and playing a non Texas Tech offense for PM. I have only heard Mel Kiper Jr. rave about DJ. Seems like a huge reach for the NYG to me and just about everyone else.

The NFL draft is my favorite mockumentary. Can't wait to see who rushes in to scoop up Iowa's 3rd best TE!

Oh wait, this is real? People are actually getting paid to make these evaluations?

For those actually keeping up with the draft and combine for the past few months, it shouldn’t really be a surprise that Hockenson and Fant went over Irv.

Both those guys are studs. Fant has athleticism similar to OJ Howard.
