    L8U takes Game 2, 5-2

We came up short, even though we outhit them, 10-9.

We got on the board, in the 1st, on a solo by Holcombe. They tied it, in the 3rd.

And then the 4th inning happened............................

On what was originally ruled a foul ball, after a very lengthy video replay, it was ruled fair, which meant it was a 3-run shot. That was the difference in the game. (Seems the replay the SEC office had was "special", as none of the ones our radio crew saw even had the ball in the screen, as it was hit that high over the left field foul pole.)

They added one, in the 5th. We got one back, in the 7th, but that was it.

Lots of chances, too many LOBs (10), and could not get that one hit when you needed it the most.

    On to tomorrow.....................
As I say, we tried to remove the tusks. But they were embedded so firmly we couldn't budge them. Of course, in Alabama the Tuscaloosa, but that is entirely ir-elephant to what I was talking about.

Coach Bo wasn't happy after the game.

Too many BBs came around to score. (And guys who were sub-.200.) Took too many called 3rd strikes. "That is what inexperienced teams do."

And basically we need to be better in every aspect. Still, it was a winnable game, and still a winnable series.

There was no conclusive video evidence to overturn the call on the field. Still we had opportunities early on to score more and one late opportunity where Williamson swung at ball 4. Glad to see Coach Bo not put up with poor play.
