I am an Army veteran, so I appreciate Glen's sacrifice, but Memorial Day is for the men and women who have given their lives in service to the country. Veteran's day is the appropriate time to honor Glen.
I got thanks for my service today, I wear my ball cap with my former ships' logo on it during the off season. If I saw the post tomorrow, or any day I would've posted it. I was posting it as a way to say thanks to a former Tider for his service.I re-tweeted a lot of memorial day scenes today. I am a disabled veteran, and I hold the utmost respect for those who gave the supreme sacrifice. And let me add a thanks for your service BIGtide. RTR!
Sorry, I wasn't criticizing your post. I totally get it.
Too many Americans don't understand why we have 2 different holidays to recognize our veterans. Each was meant to recognize something very different.
All gave some, but some gave all.
