I had not seen Michigan play before now. They showed up to play. Smart money is still on the dores in my opinion.

The Hogs lost again today, 5-4 to TTU. I thought they'd win the bracket, shows how little I know, ha!

It's a lose/lose in tonight's game. More of the Martin lovefest, or more B1G blather.

Entering the CWS I thought Michigan was the most dangerous team because they just beat the defending champs and the #1 teams on the road

Its looking more and more like a Michigan-Vandy NCS.

I think your semifinals will be:

Bracket 1 : Texas Tech vs Michigan
    Bracket 2: Vanderbilt vs Louisville

Mississippi St is on borrowed time, and probably doesnt get past Louisville's pitching

State has not lost this game yet just saying. Not saying you are wrong but state is a never quit scrappy bunch.

True, but teams that rely on coming from behind miracles usually die in Omaha when they play elite teams.

You are correct cant argue that point. It does look like you called it right though having Vandy and Michigan in the finals.

-I think unless Michigan has an epic meltdown then I would say they are a near lock

    - I think Vandy really wants MSU to win vs Louisville. Granted they beat both twice this year. But Vandy seems to favor high scoring games over pitching duels. Louisville has way better pitching, MSU has better hitting.

    - Vandy vs Michigan seems the most likely with Arkansas choking.

State attempts to win and advance tonight against Louisville. Game time is 8:00 on ESPN2.

    Oops, game is at 7:00.

Mississippi St is just like all of the other teams relying on late game magic... when you get to Omaha you canít mess around because everyone can hit and at least 4 teams have great pitching.

State let Louisville come back and beat them about the same way they beat the barners. Neither should have happened but did. Go to play until that 27th out.

Live by the rally, die by the rally. I guess karma paid a visit to MSU.

    Two games today:

    TTU v. Michigan at 1:00.
Louisville v. Vandy tonight. Vandy the lone remaining SEC team.

    Re: CWS: game threads

Its a pretty odd CWS. There really only has been 1 true upset, and that was Florida St over Arkansas. Everything else has been about the happy to be here's (Auburn and Florida St) and the pretenders (Mississippi St) being knocked out fast. I still think Arkansas was better than 0-2, but just caught a bad slump at the absolutely worst time ever. Michigan and Vandy have distanced themselves from the pack, but Louisville might have the bullpen to challenge them. But the final 4 was probably the most worthy in a long time.
