I would even say a break even record over that stretch is a moral victory. Anything above .500 is gravy.Magic number 17, but it should be 16 if the Mets werent such chokers.
But it brings up a crazy 14 game run
4 vs Was
4 @ Phi
3 @ Was
3 vs Phil
Winning 2 at each series would take the magic number down to 3 for the NL east without any outside help. Braves really need 9 games out of the next 14 to feel like a clinch is inevitable, but a 3-1 start vs the Nats would put enormous pressure on the Nats
It really depends on where those 7 wins are. If all 7 are to the Phillies then it really does us no good at the eastern crown, and brings our playoff magic number to 9 while leaving the east in jeapordy. If all 7 are against the Nats then it clinches the playoffs and brings the eastern title clinch to 3. Its more important that we take atleast 4 from the Nats at the very least. The Phillies are really only an issue if we make them an issue, but 9 wins over this 14 should be the minimum goal.I would even say a break even record over that stretch is a moral victory. Anything above .500 is gravy.

And 3 games behind the Dodgers. Unfortunately, they play the Orioles, Mes, Rays, Rockies, Padres, and Giants to finish out the season. Only the Rays are 5+ games above .500. The Mets are 3 games over .500. That's it.Magic number is 10
