Well we swept the Fish in dramatic fashion.
Takeaways
- the Marlins-Braves series this year makes no sense. We have only beaten a division opponent 15 times in a season once, but I seriously doubt those Expos out hit that Braves team as many times in those Braves wins as the Marlins did this season. I don’t mean to complain but playing the law of averages we shouldn’t beat this team 15 times with how they dominated us at the plate.
- Don Mattingly is a donkey for a manager
- Snitker is probably the best manager without a ring
- bullpen is coming along
- the Phillies are probably done
- the Nats just wont die
- our bench is crazy good, and we will be a force to be reckoned with if we can get most of our people back
-7-2 through a 9 game home stand is really good especially with 4 of those wins being against the Mets and Dodgers
- this 6 game road trip is going to be brutal since we have to travel to New York, Denver, and Toronto all in 6 days because we have a 1 game makeup vs the Rockies.

The all black uniforms look good, but the all whites for the Mets are very distracting. I think the MLB could’ve came up with a different design or color.
So far the Braves has struck out 21 times and the only reason that the game is still going is because deGrom is one of the few pitchers that can hit a homer
I’m glad I’m not a Mets fan. I would have probably broken 10 TVs by this point of the season with their manager’s dumb decisions.
Well that marathon is over with us sleeping nice tonight. But that game only missed the MLB record for combined strikeouts by 8.
Thank god the Mets manager was dumb enough to pitch to Billy Hamilton with 1 out, a base open, and the pitcher up next with no subs left.

That was a long game last night. Weird that the pitcher of all people hit a homerun and it ended up being their only run. That game ran so long we had to use a pitcher as a pinch hitter.
For whatever reason, we have totally dominated Wheeler this year, but struggle against Syndagard. Going for the sweep today.

Yes it is. Its probably one of the most underrated rivalries in sports. The Nationals- Braves just isn't up there with the hatred and history for me, its just a tense division race. They are just the Expos to me. But I know many Mets fans that still remember the 90's, and between the Braves and Yankees they consider the Braves the real rivalry. To me beating the Mets 10 + games is the 1st realistic goal we should ever consider.
