Mosley-esqueStarting Will LB is a true freshman that has never played the position prior to arriving on campus. Didn't expect to see that a month ago, but the kid is a freak athlete.
Same........ I hope he shows outI'm happy for Ben Davis. This means we will most likely see him get a good number of snaps this Saturday. I hope he kills it.
Bama legacy that was 247 Composite 5* recruit. Took a RS his first year on campus. Hasn't played any meaningful snap in his three years in Tuscaloosa. Most everyone took it to mean he was a bust and only a product of playing weak competition at Gordo.Ok, so I'm green to the Ben Davis issue. Anyone willing to give me the quick and easy? Or is there a post in Tidefans that's already discussed that I can check out?
Lemme be first to say I saw Ben Davis’ name listed.
I've watched Taulia on a lot of QB videos. I think his plus side is very high.Thoughts:
Hoping Reichard is the answer for our PK woes...sounds hopeful!
A little surprised Taulia was listed. I guess it means he's clearly ahead of Tyson. Also probably means he gets some PT this year in at least 4 games.
Our receiver core is just flat out nasty!
Our secondary ought to be a real strength!
MAN, I'M READY FOR SATURDAY!!!
This! I would love nothing more than drama free extra points and FGs.Also, there is no single impact freshman that I want to see in game action more than Will Reichard. Dude has taken over kicks and may be punting as well when it is all said and done.
I suspect Taulia's ceiling is a little higher than MJ, but right now there's no doubt Mac's experience is the most important factor. But I do agree what will be telling is how they each respond to PT and the inevitable mistakes that probably come. Hopefully this PT comes when we have huge leads where mistakes don't cost us games.I've watched Taulia on a lot of QB videos. I think his plus side is very high.
Taulia has a very quick release, and appears to be a natural runner.
I'm not putting Taulia in the same class as Jalen Hurts for the ability to make something out of nothing, but give him time and his abilities will translate to playing time...
Passes from Taulia look like they are pretty much on the money.
Taulia needs some actual game time and he will be pushing Mack for the #2 slot.
What will be telling is how Mack and Taulia respond under game pressure.
Who has ice water in his veins, and who doesn't?
How does Mack and Taulia respond after they make a mistake?
How fast do they shake it off?
Before I go any further...
Let me say I'm very proud of both guys.
Mack is head and shoulders above where he played last year.
Taulia is right behind Mack.
