Thanks, but if Alabama gives up 20 points to Duke, even in week one, you are not going undefeated or making the CFP.

With the inexperience on offense, I agree that they shouldn’t come close to 20 unless Savanna calls off the dogs and they score a couple of fluke TD’s at the end of the game.

Thanks, Jess. Nice write up as usual. I just hope our inexperienced running backs can block well when needed, and keep Tua safe.

Hopefully Duke won't score 20 points. I think I had them at 14 points. But, it's the first game with a new co-ordinator and coaches, so who knows.

I am curious.. did the 4 players do this on purpose or did they have a good reason for being late or missing the movie? I assume they were all together when it happened? I don't remember any of these players ever being in trouble for anything the past few years. I thought they were some of the quiet leaders of the team.

Always GREAT to read these predictions. I still think the margin will be larger...but it really doesn't matter.

I hate to complain about what we get for "free" and I know the ads are the reason for that, but the pop-up ads at the bottom almost make this format unreadable. At one point there was one ad in between the text and a pop up for the same company at the bottom.

Anything is possible in garbage time.

1 TD in the 1st quarter. (early game jitters and pre-scripted plays)
1 FG late in the 3rd. (a single explosive play puts them in range)
1 TD midway through the 4th. (garbage time)
1 FG at the end of the game. (garbage time)

If we score 30 in the 1st half then I think it's entirely possible they put 20 down for the entire game. It changes the personnel in the 2nd half and things could get sloppy. If Alabama went full bore all game, I say 7-10 points for Duke.
