On right now with about 20 min. left.

Really enjoying it - worth watching if you get a chance. I know it will air again.

The SEC Network debuts its eight-part documentary series, “Saturdays in the South: A History of SEC Football,” at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The series is part of the ESPN networks’ overall celebration of college football’s 150th anniversary in 2019.
The 12 hours of programming includes interviews with more than 100 SEC football figures, including former LSU coach Les Miles and former LSU and current Alabama coach Nick Saban.
The series will continue each Tuesday through Oct. 22.

I saw Episode 1, and I thought it was very well done. Was that actually Coach Bryant's home in "Moro Bottom, Arkansas" that they showed. If so, I can't believe it would still be standing. I'm looking forward to the next episodes.

So far it's looking like one of the best documentaries I've watched about college football.

I learned a lot too, that I didn't know.

Yale used to own Georgia and Vandy owned Tennessee, for example.

And how 'Bear' Bryant got his nickname.

Looking forward to future installments.

Well, Vandy has beaten UT three years in a row now, so I think Vandy still owns UT. Hahahahahahaha!

FYI: Part 6 is airing tonight in just over an hour from now.

Will feature Coach Spurrier a bit so try and watch if you can - should be pretty good!
Also had a good bit on the 1992 Tide and Coach Stallings. Really enjoying this series. I just wished they had shown it during the off-season when there wasn't much on TV.

Quick reminder - tonight Part 8 will air - the last installment in the series.

They showed a brief segment this morning on SECN of Coach Saban's upbringing in West Virginia, specifically the influence of his father "Big Nick". Very interesting and inspiring!

Enjoy! :)

Overall a great series. It shows that Bama has always been the standard and beating Bama is often a giant benchmark win for SEC teams."Great Wins"... and even some moral victories against Bama that were highlighted:Georgia... 1965, 1976 and even 2012. Auburn... 1972, 1982, 2010, 2013. Florida... 2008. Ole Miss ... 1969, 2014, 2015. Miss State... 1980. South Carolina... 2010. LSU... 2011. Tennessee... 1995, among others. Texas A&M... 2012. Bama has always been the measuring stick in the SEC.
