NBC Sports reported on Sunday night that several Dolphins had contacted their agents with orders to get them out of Miami after the debacle. Late on Thursday night, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported the Dolphins had granted permission to defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick to seek a trade.
"Dolphins made Minkah learn six positions this off-season, including two LB spots. This was so simple: He was best slot CB in league last year. Play him there and some boundary. Coaching staff couldn't do the obvious, and now their 2018 first rounder wants to leave."
On Monday, Fitzpatrick tried to explain how Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson was able to throw for 324 yards and five touchdowns on only 20 passes on Sunday.
“A lot of different things,” Fitzpatrick said. “Guys not locked in, looking at the wrong things. Sometimes we weren’t put in the best position. But even still, it’s up to the players to make the plays.”
Thoughts?

I kinda hope he stays so I have more reason to root for Miami when they draft Tua next year.

That said, they are completely misusing him.

If they are trying to make him play the role of thumper because they have no one else to fill that role, I would run away fast. He is too small and could see his career destroyed by this type of personnel mismanagement. It would be a wise business move to demand a trade, and the NFL is a business league.

Was reported Monday that several players asked to be traded after the embarrassment on Sunday. Minkah isn't alone in wanting out of the sinking ship.

Phins are in full-on fire sale mode and Minkah is use to being a winner.

They had a pretty decent team that they just decided to nuke and start over instead. He's basically their last worthwhile asset remaining.

It was crazy. I hope Fitz and Drake both get out...

The dolphins will have the first pick in the draft for sure. They are looking like they are tanking for it for sure. If they trade Minkah, they will have 2 first round picks and possibly 2 second round picks or maybe a 2nd first round pick for 2021.

He's entitled to make a run for playing at his best position and enhance his earnings and lengthen his career based on that. He shouldn't be forced to cross-train for a marginal club just because they're short-handed and he happens to be very versatile...

Yep, he has real talent. The Steelers know how to get the most out of players like him. He landed in a great spot, though the Steelers are about to go through a down phase with their QB pretty much done.

For all that was traded for Minkah to go to the Steelers, it’s obvious that Dolphins management is tanking. They now have 3 first round picks next draft, and multiple 2nd round picks. Screw the season and they’ll have 4 first round picks.

Tua needs to pull an Eli and avoid Miami. Just refuse to play for them.

UNLESS, they draft Tua with their first pick and Jeudy with their second....that would be fun.
