Does anyone know how many projected starters are out due to injuries, or for whatever reason are not on the team ??? Seems like we have an extreme high number this year .

Three - seems like more - Moses, McMillon and Sanders. Others out for indefinite periods, like Alfano and Ray.

Sanders was not a starter, 3rd team at the time, but would likely have been a key contributor, especially as the season wore on. Hopefully, Keilan Robinson's play will "demand" more time as the season develops.
Ray was a starter who is now out.
It's more the depth at each position (especially the once again snake bit LB situation) than the number of starters. As we all know Coach Saban isn't a huge fan of any kind of depth chart. He prefers to rotate, rotate and rotate some more especially along the D front 7. That's where it all could hurt us; just the sheer numbers and the fact that now we are reaching down into the freshmen. Think about it, some of these guys were at their prom a mere few months ago and now they're being asked to know schemes, adjust their alignments and keep their gaps at a number 2 in the nation college program level. It will probably all be fine and next year will give us a huge advantage. But right now there are times it might be ugly and will require some patience on the part of us fans and I'm sure the coaches. I'm just thankful our schedule is a little forgiving for a minute. This time next year with UGA early might have been super painful this year. Roll Tide and keep grinding freshmen. We're behind you all the way!
