A bye week that looked like it was gonna be more eventful than it actually wound up being (1st quarter of UT-UGA), but here we go. Right into the second stanza of our season.

As always, TideFans.com neither endorses nor condones any gambling (or any other degenerate behavior) of any kind. The numbers below are for entertainment purposes only.

  • In a Friday night tilt, #13 Oregon is a 21 pt favorite over Colorado.
  • In the other Friday night game, #20 Virginia is a 2.5 pt dog at Miami (FL)
  • #16 Michigan is a 19 pt favorite at Illinois
  • In the Red River Rivalry/Shootout/Showdown, Oklahoma is favored by 10 over Texas.
  • Herm Edwards's #19 Arizona St is a 3pt favorite over Mike Leech's high scoring Washington St. team
  • Despite what may be a lengthy injury to QB Kelly Bryant, Mizzou is an 8.5 pt favorite over Ole Miss
  • Georgia is a 25.5 pt favorite over South Carolina
  • Mississippi St. favored by 6.5 over Tennessee
  • Arkansas is a 7pt underdog to Kentucky
  • Vandy is favored? **check notes** yes, favored by 17 (!!!) over UNLV (Mack's note: how bad is UNLV?)
  • Wisconsin is favored by 10 over Michigan St.
  • LSU is favored by 14.5 (Mack's note: LOLOLOLOL) over Florida
  • Bama is favored by 18.5 at Texas A&M
  • Notre Dame is favored by 11 over USC
  • Clemson is a 27 pt favorite over Florida St.
  • Penn St is a 3.5 pt favorite over Iowa

That's it for this week. Enjoy the games!!!

LSU -14.5. I don’t like that. I think we will win, but we need to be prepared like an underdog. At least we have some revenge on our minds. Worst game Burrow played last year.

I’m going to be shocked if L8U doesn’t win by 21-28.

Trask is banged up something fierce and Burrow is playing Heisman QB ball.

I just can’t see UF hanging in there in what will probably be a shootout where L8U has waaaaaayyy more bullets.

Bama by 21 at least.
FSU shocks Clemson
Virginia over Miami
South Carolina hangs with Missouri, loses, but stays within 8.
LSU boat races Florida, who doesn't have the firepower.

That LSU/Florida game will be very interesting. Just like the AU/UF game was illuminating. We don't really know what LSU can do against a good defense. We know that Florida has a fantastic defense and mediocre offense, but what can they do against an LSU defense that looks to be the worst they've had since DiNardo?

I have no idea what'll happen. I'd guess LSU covers, but I wouldn't be shocked if UF can turnover Burrow a lot and manufacture points. But who really knows?

The way Wisconsin is playing I like them (-10) over Sparty @ Camp Randall. The oddmakers may be giving UGA a little too much credit so I'll take South Carolina (+25.5).

Florida’s DBs are pretty impressive. I think JB will get smacked around a bit.

IF the defense shows up maybe 14-18 points, but if they don't this could be a "white knuckler". I fully expect a Heisman performance from Mond.
After the performance by Plumlee and two weeks for Saban to work on the things that you didn't do well, I think that Mond is in trouble.

I expect Michigan to win but not to cover. I say Wisconsin wins by more than 10. I doubt Clemson covers. In summary I do not expect any upsets but I think the lines are wrong.

We haven't been lights out on defense this year, but I wouldn’t say it’s the worst we’ve had. Been playing most of the year without 2-3 starting DL and all are expected back for UF. Yes, it was Utah State, but they were ranked 9th in yards per game and we held them to 159 total yards. We tackled much better which was the cause of several big plays earlier. We made some adjustments at safety which helped.

Surprised by the Bama line; thought it would be much closer; Bama offense drives it up; hope its a good prediction; Have to say Florida looks good with that many points. And I would take Texas all day long with 10 points.

I can't really believe I'm saying this but.... I actually think Tennessee has a decent chance against MSU.

A&M struggles vs Arkansas caused this. I thought it would be 21 honestly.

A&M has shown that they can’t crack 21 points vs decent competition.

So, with that said - can they hold Tua to 40?
