Yep. LSU upset them in the SECCG that year, and that was after the Vols had beaten them in the regular season. They (the Vols) were never quite the same after that.If you look closer.....they weren't really very good after 2001.
I have no love for LSU. Every poster here realizes what you are insinuating.I have no love for Tennessee, but it’s a shame they, as your permanent opponent, have become such an easy out and show little to no signs of improvement. In the last 10.5 seasons
UT - 26-57 in the SEC, 5 bowl games 3-2 record
meanwhile
UF - 55-31 in the SEC, 8 bowl games, 6-2 one national title
UGA - 57-26 in the SEC, post season every year, 6-5 with one NC runner up to Bama
hmmmmmmmm
Nebraska’s problems were self inflicted, while Tennessee’s were not. But they both have the same exact problems, just different circumstances at how those circumstances came to be.Actually Tennessee's problems go back further than the last 7-10 years. You're right about the limited resources or players in Tennessee so they've always poached off other states. However, Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida have all stepped up their games in both recruiting and play over the last 10-15 years.
I hope the worse is yet to come.Actually they haven't lost enough for my taste.
Yep. Fulmer got a national championship for his deal with the devil. Unfortunately, Bama didn't go "out of business" and it's been hell to pay ever since. When you sell your soul to the devil, in the short term life is grand. In the long term you will pay..... with interest.
Trying to get the hate started early? Okay.I have no love for Tennessee, but it’s a shame they, as your permanent opponent, have become such an easy out and show little to no signs of improvement. In the last 10.5 seasons

Mr. CA, the more appropriate statistical measurement is the median, to which LSU comes in at 6 and Bama 11.5. Thanks for doing the SOS research.Trying to get the hate started early? Okay.
SOS over the last 10 years:
L8U: 5, 15, 7, 15, 25, 5, 5, 5, 54, 5 - avg 14.1
Bama: 2, 14, 15, 19, 39, 2, 1, 1, 27, 9 - avg 12.9
In that time, L8U has never played a tougher SOS than #5, while Bama has done so 4x, twice playing the toughest schedule in nation.
So yeah, it's a real shame that our permanent opponent sucks now - because an even more difficult schedule would be more fair.
I'll be upfront and let it be known that I am not a statistical wizard, but why would the median be more pertinent than the mean? The median being the middle value of the listed numbers, to which I have no idea where you are coming up with 11.5 and 6, neither of which appear on CA's list.Mr. CA, the more appropriate statistical measurement is the median, to which LSU comes in at 6 and Bama 11.5. Thanks for doing the SOS research.
I’ll be honest, I don’t think LSU wins in T town this year. I’ll let you know why in 2 weeks. We have two other games to play so I’m not ready to think about the game on 11/9.
SOS over the last 10 years:

Bama: 2, 14, 15, 19, 39, 2, 1, 1, 27, 9 - avg 12.9
Gentlemen, please. You are both off. The appropriate mathematical measurement is mode. That puts LSU at 5 and Bama at 1. /endMr. CA, the more appropriate statistical measurement is the median, to which LSU comes in at 6 and Bama 11.5.
