I did not call a game Fridy because Elmore CO. was at home against Greensboro (we won, 21-7). I will be in Lafayette this Friday to call the Lafayette/Springville game.

I had McGill-Toolen at Daphne.

Daphne finally put it away in the 4th quarter, 24-9. They kicked a 47-yd FG on the last play of the half to lead 10-9. The FG hit the crossbar, bounced up high in the air, & finally fell through.

Daphne had a much bigger offensive line, but McG-T had some very fast LBs. Daphne hurt them on 2 reverses in the second half, and a fake reverse in the 4th quarter which set up the clinching TD.

I'll be at Linden this week -- thankfully, a much shorter drive!

I did not get a game this week, and I am finished for the year. I am having double hernia surgery on Tuesday, so that will wrap my football up for the year. It will be unusual having a Friday at home, but I do welcome it.

No game this week. I'm taking my wife out to eat (BBQ, I hope), then will probably listen to TCHS-Hoover and/or ACA-Linden on the radio, and watch some old 'Bama-Awbarn tapes to get pumped up for tomorrow.
