This is a nice trade-off by MS. They originally announced that Texas Hold'em was going to free through a sponsorship with some casino. Well, they should have dotted their i's and crossed their t's first because that deal fell through and MS announced it was going to have to charge. This caused a backlash from 360 owners.

Yep. You'll get the full game for free if you download it within the first 48 hours after it is released.

After that 48 hours, you have to pay 800 points ($10) to get the full version.

The download didn't take very long for me. It's only about 26 MB in size but I figured there would be some sort of slow down but there was none. :smile:
It's pretty fun and it's free, so you can't beat that! If you like hold 'em you'll more than likely like this game.
