Anyone out there have a checklist of all the Alabama football books that are out there. I have quite a few including books on Namath, Starr, Sloan, Coach Bryant and so forth.. I would like to start one if there is not yet..

Just got a new one @ the Vandy game. "Nothing But A Winner" by Barry Krauss. The book's OK...but the way cool thing is, I got to meet & shake hands with him & chat with him for a minute. And let me tell ya, #77 looks like he could still strap 'em on & contribute...

Back on point, this is a good idea of yours. One of my faves--an annual read--is "Alabama Showdown" by Geoffrey Norman. Sort of a look at how the Iron Bowl affects the entire state. Written in the mid-80s. We won that year, btw...

I have others, but will get to them later.

In Good Hands, by Joey Jones. His insider take on the transition from CPB to CRP.

The Missing Rings. (informed sources tell me I'll be getting this one this Christmas from ma exiled--who is also a Bama grad; it's at the top of my "want it" list)

What It Means to Be Crimson Tide (can't recall the author, but it's a number of former players going way back in the pre-CPB days up through fairly recent talking of their Bama days & how they were affected. Very fun read)

(surely there are others, but these are some of my additions to the list.)
