I am looking for a good chili recipe for my church's Super Soul Sunday bash. I will be taking it in a crockpot. Any idea's appreciated.

Also has anyone ever tried to use grilled steak, such as a ribeye or new york strip, in chili and if so was it good. The reason I ask I got a good deal @ Publix tonight on the ribeyes and new york strip.

Don't have your chili, but I'm thinking about trying to make pepian, an awesome stewy tomatoey chicken dish from Central America. I used to eat it at a Guatemalan restaurant in Atlanta. Probably fairly easy to make, but a little unusual.
A "PIPIAN" is a sauce made of ground pumpkinseeds, nuts, spices and chiles and also called "Green Pumpkinseed Sauce". I often find these two terms interchanged, although a Pipian does not contain the chocolate necessary to qualify a sauce as a mole. A Pipian is a fricassee of fowl, meat or pork prepared in a pre-Hispanic sauce that surrived through the years of Spanish conquest.

The Pipian looks interesting. I will have to check into it when I get back home. As for chicken chili? Sacrilege, heresy, blasphemy, there should be no such dish. ;)
