A record crowd of 2,035 fans were in attendance on Saturday to watch the No. 2 University of Alabama softball team defeat Kentucky 12-3 and 6-0 for the first of two days on senior weekend at the Alabama Softball Complex.
The stands quickly filled up and fans started to sit on the outfield hill and hills to the side of the bleachers. The largest crowd in school history passed a record the team set earlier this season when they had 1,958 on April 6 for a doubleheader against Auburn.
