You try it firstBayou, I found this one today it sound pretty good..
13/4 ounce servings would provide closer to 200 servings than 20. You better love corn dogs or have lots of open freezer space. LOLAdd the eggs, mayonnaise and bread crumbs to meat mixture, then divide into 1¾ ounce portions and wrap each portion around a chopstick
I was thinking along the lines of cutting it way down. For just a few....13/4 ounce servings would provide closer to 200 servings than 20. You better love corn dogs or have lots of open freezer space. LOL
NICE..... that will be a long trip thoughI may not cook at all for this game. If things go well the LSU game will be one of my go to games.
im not waiting till gameday-- im gonna make these tonightSuper Corndogs
1 cup corn meal
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup buttermilk (add till you get the right consistency)
1/2 cup fine chopped onion
2 fine chopped jalapeno pepers
1 small can cream corn
1/2 cup corn starch (for precoat)
1 package Hebrew National hot dogs (others will do)
1 slightly beaten egg
8 popsicle sticks, large bamboo skewers, metal skewers or other handles
DIRECTIONS:
Mix ingredients like you were making cornbread. Let the batter sit a few minutes for it to rise while you bring a pot of hot oil up to temp. 325-350F. Make sure dogs are moist then roll in cornstarch. Dip dogs in batter and place in hot oil. Deep fry till golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Dip in mustard, hot mustard, hot ketchup, regular ketchup, mayonnaise, wassabi or horseradish mayonnaise.
Serve with cotton candy and snow cones.

Try putting the batter in the fridge for an hour prior to dipping the dogs.just made those corndogs-- had a tough time getting the batter to stick-- any tips for next time? the cornstarch stuck but the batter wouldnt stick to the corn starch
