Buttermilk trick

So we ran out of buttermilk this morning at the restaurant for our egg wash, and I always just make a substitute. I figured I would post it on here, because a lot of people will be baking stuff around this time of year, and sometimes it isnt feasible to buy a lot of buttermilk when you only need 1/4 cup.

I just add a tablespoon of white vinegar per cup of milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Hope this may help some of ya'll out and save ya a little money around the holidays!
