10 New Super Stadiums

The media always has to find a way to include soccer don't they??
Why wouldn't they? It's by far the most popular sport in the entire world. Just because it hasn't caught on in this country in comparison to the rest of the world doesn't mean it should be excluded, especially when the stadiums being listed are not restricted to just the United States.

Soccer stadiums, like the French and Irish national stadiums, should be included. But Red Bull park is no where near being a super stadium.

And the Colts stadium only seats 63,000. :conf2:

I realize the NFL stadiums do not seat as many as the larger college stadiums, but 63,000 for a new stadium.

I like some of the European stadiums, they seem to have more creativity. The new Irish soccer stadium might be the second coolest stadium I've seen, next to BDS obviously.

Where have you been? NFL stadiums average that size:

Raymond James - Tampa (built 1998) cap = 65, 700
Alltel - Jacksonville (built 1995) cap = 73,000
LP Field - Nashville (built 1999 as copy of Raymond James) cap = 69,000
Heinz Field - Pittsburgh (built 2001) cap = 64, 450

There's many more the same size.

i like the Landsdowne Road Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. i have always liked the stuff that is different from all the rest.
There's a practical reason for the way the profile of the stadium looks. When I toured Emirates Stadium (Arsenal FC in London), they said the stadium contour allows more exposure to sunlight for the grass. A pretty cool little design.
