This is what happens when you keep interest rates at an artificially low level for an extended period of time. Why not borrow when money is so cheap? You would be irresponsible, from a corporate perspective, not to.

Of course they should, especially how with the right lobbying or lined pockets you may never be liable for that debt.

This kind of stuff is the reason I say screw it we should be helping everyone with healthcare & other things. If we’re going to give endless money to corporations (socialism for the rich! egads!), military, etc then the average person should get a seat at the trough before it all goes crashing down.

If we’re not going to be fiscally responsible anyway we might as well go all in & get something from it beyond the mythical trickles.
