That’s something we shouldn’t expect from a team with a lot of upperclassmen. Lot to be disturbed about today, but more than anything it was the lack of intensity on the defensive end. Better correct some things or else we’ll be out on Sunday.

Too late to be concerned. Now it’s one game at a time.

Good grief our fans sometimes. I don’t even think we played poorly. They played great and Dickerson had a heck of a game. We ran the inside game beautifully. And scored 90 points!!!!

I know! I like the ones who think they are actually part of team or the coaching staff, when in reality we have "0" effect on any of the outcome! Cracks me up sometimes!

Sometimes in basketball you turn into a chameleon when you play teams that aren't as good as you. I know it sounds like a cop out but bad teams can make you play bad!

Maybe. But RM was not a bad team. They were well coached and played fundamentally sound basketball. It’s true Bama has a lot more talent. But give RM credit. They played good basketball vs. out C+ game. Some of that was forced by them especially with turnovers and offensive rebounds.

I too thought we mostly played a nice game. We got really sloppy on both ends for a stretch in middle of the 2H. Nelson coming in changed the flow immensely. Was hoping he could rest but glad he recognized he could be the difference. And he was.

Also, one other thing we haven't talked about much here.

I'm so glad we have a serious-minded coach. Watching a bunch of games this week, there are a ton of coaches who are a) clowns, b) jerks, c) whiners and/or d) idiots. There are some really good/great ones out there, but there are a lot of guys who look more like AAU / rec league coaches based on their demeanor and how their teams play. Even some of the "revered" and "experienced" guys. (If I were a coach, I would probably fit all 4 categories).

Nate Oats understands the game at levels most coaches can only dream about.

Here's hoping we can keep it going deep into the tourney!

Nelson being close to healthy will be a major factor in how far we go. I feel Reid could make a good impact also he gives us good effort on defense and rebounding from what I can remember. Mo seems to be picking up where he left off in last years tournament.

Give RM credit. They out hustled and boxed out better. BUT those of you saying Bama played well are wrong. Guards did not as far as scoring what 3-15 on threes and 7 TO from older players and Halloway (soph). Sears did better scoring in second half yes. And bigs couldn’t rebound other than Mo until Grant came in. Stevenson is just still Stevenson. It was a poor game by players but they won which is all that matters. Even when the team plays poorly they win most of time which is a testament to them. But they will have to be better against st Mary’s as they are better physically than RM is and execute as well or better which is what we struggle against. Injuries have just hurt us more than we know at this point but hopefully Grant heals more and Reid as well. Older guys really need to start playing like experienced players.

I’m always critical of this team but man they do win and have beaten teams they should beat all year. Love Bama basketball and making the tourney is just awesome. Appreciate Coach and players giving us something to cheer about.

I'm not sure about @crimsonaudio 's watching ability for basketball. For football he's there and ready. Not sure about the hardwood!
