Georgia for me.

Their OL still has questions but they still have a lot of talent. They ran for more yards last year then in 2002 and still played well against USC, CU, and others....

Defense was very good last year (Better Pass Defense then LSU stat wise) and return several possible All-Americans.

Unlike Aubarn, they have been to the SECCG

Georgia has a nice road to win the SEC this year. I have a few friends (non-Georgia fans) who've got them picked to challenge USC for the National Title, which I think makes sense.

Agreed. Sadly, I have AU playing them in the SECCG

I know, I know....what the hell am I thinking

Georgia will do well, but not quite enough. Somebody on the board has already mentioned their "choky" behavior. Florida has their number, and LSU and aubarn at jerdin-hair will not be gimme's. Keep an eye on the Crimson Tide. They will surprise some folks this year. :biga2:

LSU and Georgia had exact same years in 2002 and 2003

If UGA is a choking team then so is LSU.....which I dont find either to be

UF has their number but sooner or later the streak will end and even UF fans admit it

Lizards will take the Dogs but.............

the purple *****cats will take care of the lizards! So who's gonna be left for the seccg? One uneducated guess would be the Lizards vs Purple *****Cats!

Sentimental pick for me would be ....... Bama-31 vs UcheaT-0 !!

BCS Championship game ummmm! USC vs OU ..............! :biga:

Both of them blew games the last two years. It hurt Georgia in '02 but LSU got by last year because no one went undefeated. A team with the talent of LSU losing to a slightly above average Florida team at home 19-7 is choking. JMO.

I like the way you think Rolltide15! I am still of the school we can beat anyone and will. Until we do lose then I think well one loss isnt so bad we will without a doubt win the rest. :p ;) :biggrin2: :rolleye2:

I would agree.

LSU ranked higher than Georgia on total offense and total defense last year and beat them twice on the way to winning the BCS game. And still the Dawgs are favored over LSU.

Georgia is most overrated team in the SEC. They have been in the pre-season top-5 for three years in a row. They sure haven't finished in the top five.

LSU is unlikely to go undefeated and repeat as NC with a rough road schedule, but has a damn good chance of competing for the SECCG again.

LSU just finished a 13-1 National Championship season and rtrcam thinks they "choked". I'll be happy to choke like that, amigo. :biggrin2:

And UGA finished higher in both in 2002. So what? LSU losses quite a bit whether they want to admit it or not and if you take away Grey-Shirts AND non-qualifiers....LSU is a whooping 1-star ahead of UGA in recruiting since 2001 yet many dont realize that.

Not sure you know this but LSU had a better pass defense by 10 yards last year and finished 2nd in the run but by more then 10 yards.....so there isnt a huge gap yet LSU's secondary is the one that gets the national pub.

UGA was Pre-Season Top 5 for the last 3 years? Try last year and this year....come on....at least get that correct. UGA wasn't even Top 10 in 2002.

Yet UGA did the same in 2002 and didnt have the "luck" of two undefeated seasons.

Anyway you bite it, you make yourself look like a fool by calling the 2nd if not best team in the SEC.....what the hell does that call the SEC then?

Well, I missed the point of this thread. It was asked "Who would win the SEC?" And, as far as that goes neither Georgia nor LSU choked. The dawgs won in '02 and LSU in '03. But they did choke in against Florida each year, and it cost Georgia a shot at the NC. However, yes red55, I would trade records with either program. But don't worry; BAMA will be back in due time.
