The college football season in 2010 is going to start off with not much worth watching as the best games will be, get this, North Carolina vs. LSU in the kick-off game in Atlanta and Boise vs Va. Tech (Monday). What a horrible way to display our sport with such horrible games.
Other games worth watching 20 second highlight clip on SportsCenter are..
Purdue vs. Notre Dame
Hawaii vs. USC (Thursday)
Southern Miss vs. South Carolina (Thursday)
Cincy @ Fresno (the fall of Cincy begins quickly)
Oregon St. @ TCU
However, week two is flooded with games, so many good ones that it will be impossible to watch all the games you probably want to. Unless of course you own 10 tv's.
Here's a glimpse at what we get in week 2. I'm sure most of you will be at...
Penn State @ Bama
FSU @ Oklahoma
Michigan @ ND
Ga. Tech @ Kansas
Miami @ Ohio State
TCU @ SMU (watch for upset here)
Georgia @ South Carolina
Oregon @ Tennessee
USF @ Florida
I'm a huge proponent at a national scheduling system coordinated by all conference and perhaps controlled by the NCAA as a whole. I know that teams really don't want to schedule powerhouse teams during week 1 for the obvious reasons. Maybe we should just have 1 pre-season game vs. 1-aa teams to tune up on?
