Well as they say the proof is in the pudding. CNS offered Gulledge early and accepted his commitment early. That speaks volumes to me.exactly how good is this guy projecting to be?
CrimsonConfidential.com - Reports: Tide snags second 2012 commit in DL Gulledge"It just feels right here," said Gulledge. "I feel like this is my home. This is definitely where I want to be."
Gulledge joins National 100 safety Eddie Williams, from Arnold High School in Panama City, Fla., as the first two commitments of the 2012 class. Both
were at Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday night.
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Gulledge becomes Alabama's second Class of 2012 pledge, joining athlete Eddie Williams (Panama City, Fla./Arnold). Williams committed to Alabama on Aug. 24.
I feel pretty confident that Alabama can get Shanks and Thomas. Many people actually felt that Thomas would be the first of the trio to commit to Alabama.I expect he won't be the only Lion committing to Alabama. Shanks should be soon I think. I know it's Bama and maybe one other school for him. I don't know about Thomas. Gulledge is a big guy. I've seen him used in the backfield as a blocker on goal line situations.
Yep, this is the beginning of the Prattville train.Part of the Prattville trio from next year's class, will likely be one of the top players in-state next year. Nice pickup for the good guys! Welcome aboard Caleb! RTR! :BigA:
It's a straight drive down 82. I think the players enjoy the easy ride. It might be the fact that Bama is the best place. I don't know though.Yep, this is the beginning of the Prattville train.
Thanks, Gumptider, that's good stuff...Spent some time up close to him through my work. Very large individual and seemed to me taller than 6' 4". Don't know what kind of player he is, but he was physically impressive and there is no doubt he can add 30-40 pounds to his frame if they want him to.
He also played right tackle in his last game and had 6 pancakes. He is being recruited to play defensive line but he says he is open to playing anywhere.I believe P'ville has used him as a TE when a little more girth was needed in the run game.
Gulledge is listed as a DE in the commitment list even though he is playing both DL and OL this season. There has been some talk that he may even end up on the OL at Bama. Gulledge said that he was playing OL because of team needs. It could also be why there is talk about him playing OL at Bama, because of how well he is performing there this season. One thing for sure is that for a big guy he is a versatile lineman that will be able to play on either side of the LOS at Bama.He also played right tackle in his last game and had 6 pancakes. He is being recruited to play defensive line but he says he is open to playing anywhere.
