Link: 2012 RB Barry Sanders, Jr. Video

I saw this a while back. He looks SO much like his dad when he breaks down to make a cut.

Barry Sr. is on the short list for best RB of all time, but the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree. He may actually have a little more straight-ahead speed than his dad.

The kid does look great, no doubt about it. And, come on, it is Barry Sanders' kid!

But, one thing I always try to keep in mind when I watch these high school highlight videos is that the highlighted player is usually a very talented kid playing on the field full of players who, while they may be good high school players, are never going to see Div 1 football action. He is probably the only one in any of those highlights who will. There may be one other potential Div 1 player out there, and maybe a few lower level college athletes, but he is probably the only big time talent on the field. When he gets to a place like Alabama, USC, LSU, Florida, etc., he will be on the field with 21 other players who all had highlight reels as good as his. They were all the best player on the field every time they stepped out there. Only then will we be able to judge how much talent these guys really have.

Whoever gets this kid will be in a BCS bowl game every year he is at that school...assuming he doesn't get hurt.

Er... consider that Daddy Sanders arguably had the greatest individual single-season performance of all time in '88 and yet OSU only finished third in their conference.

Didn't they say the same thing about Noel Devine? but you have to admit the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

If he has half the humility of his dad, anybody will be lucky to get him.

Ahhh Heritage Hall, They're one of the Big Time 3A programs over here. I've seen these guys' tent pitched up at a few of our track meets, and from what I remember they're not that bad! They can bang with the 5A and 6A schools. But not in football. Maybe some of the weaker teams in 5A and 6A but, if I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure they were getting ready to push these guys up a class.

Anyways, I say all this because I know OF Heritage Hall, and I just DO NOT SEE how I did NOT KNOW that Barry Sanders Jr played HS Ball here! How did that one get passed me?

So is this guy OSU bound? I just REALLY hope OU and the Stoops' doesnt snake this kid.

Which is very doubtful. But Possible?

Actually... I don't even think these guys are in the OHSAA, I think they can compete with all the OHSAA schools, BUT they cannot compete in the State events, they have separate state events. I know of another school like this, they're called Holland Hall. So I think that's whats up.

I agree, but keep in mind that this is FRESHMAN video... He's 14 maybe 15 years old in that video. He has three more years of developing before he steps foot on a college campus.

on the one where he scores 3 TD's in the state final. Watch #30 on defense. Broke his leg. You can see it as Barry Jr. trots back to the left of the screen. Dude sitting on the ground.
