Is "Super Bowl rings" not allowed?

Maybe "Recruit like crazy", or "recruit like nobodys business" would be easier on young eyes. Remember we have a bunch of kids who read these posts. Like bamafanOhio implied, just a humble suggestion. Plus thanks for your insights. SCal is one of my favorite places in the world.

Bruin not going to hate on you or your team. I like the bruins and think you guys are an up and coming team. With that said. My sources have said that EV is going out of state. Also, ask Upshaw about how many rings he has now? 1 super bowl, 2 Ncaa campionships, 1 SEC championship in less than 4 years. :cool2: Oops forgot AFC Championship as well my bad.

One thing to keep in mind on Vanderdoes: He is announcing at 7:00 P.M. Central on Wednesday, and that late of an announcement could cause havoc with the numbers. I just hope he informs the coaching staff in advance and sends in his LOI early in the morning, and then has a pro-forma announcement ceremony later that night.

The numbers crunch will be hectic to watch on NSD. There are essentially five guys for three spots on the DL.

Hmm, figured the objectionable language might be "loaded" which is a variant of overloaded, apropos the expectations overburdening the Uclans down the years and dating back at least to Gary Beban, the ultimate Who He? Heisman winner. "Program on the rise" is relative to what it will inevitably rise to - don't look for those "loads" of Super Bowl rings to be melted down into a crystal football anytime soon.

Like bamafanOhio implied, just a humble suggestion. .

"Most people are able to give their thoughts with better word choices anyways."

Didn't really consider this a humble suggestion. It seemed more of an attempt to talk down to someone he doesn't know. Just like if i would have informed him that there's an apostrophe in "that's".

But i would never do that. ;)

It was intended as a polite courtesy, and trying to let you know that the mods tend to pick up the curse words.

wasn't 'talking down' to anyone, but it appears that your looking for something, anything, to jump on.

so, curse away, my friend.

P.S. go ahead and look for edits in this post, it'll give you something to occupy your tiem with for an hour or two.

I hope that you continue to provide your insights. This would be very boring if we all said the same thing. As to "bad" words, I can see where it could be a slippery slope to where young kids would not be able to view. Again, don't know his intent, but I do know mine. Keep posting because I enjoy you opinions and thoughts.

I had no thoughts about what he was posting, at all. I also appreciate others insight, especially from other parts of the country...it brings a fresh perspective to things.

I truly was only pointing out an issue I've seen brought up in the past to new posters. No ill intent meant.

Thanks. It seems like that word is used all over this site, however. I'm guessing it was the first time he "suggested" to someone that they stop. (with insult added)

I won't link material behind a pay wall, but ESPN has an article that a source inside the UA football complex suggests it is down to Alabama and Notre Dame.

I have the same saying it's down to UCLA and Bama.

And others saying it's down to UCLA and ND, with Bama's chances decreasing.

My point was that there is no way anyone can say that UCLA has been eliminated from consideration, especially when considering how close to the vest he and his family have played this.

It is used, and I was 'attempting to inform a poster with 26 posts, that there is a policy on cursing. Take it as an insult if you like...I could care less.

Ok, then, but next time yo may want to refrain from adding an insult if all you are attempting to do is give advice.

Cool, another insult.

Two things that will get you booted quickly (spreading rumors and profanity). How ironic that I am the one talking about the dangers of profanity.

Question: when was the last time you signed a top-rated recruit from CA? I can't seem to recall anyone.

Okay, friend, but maybe you can read things a little differently, also. It wasnt a 'poke' at you, just a reference that people can use other words, and I placed the word most in because some cannot. Not inferring that you were one of 'them'.

its all in how you take it, i guess.

moving on.

It's very difficult for us to read the nuances of language in a web forum. I suspect there was a bit more than simply concern for the language, however, I doubt it was at a significant level. This board can be phenomenal to anyone interested in the goings-on of Alabama football, for fans of the program, fans of other programs, and those with split loyalties. I'd like to think that we can put the testiness to rest over something so simple as whether a particular word is considered unfit for young readers. Personally, I'd be amazed if any word in the post warranted a harsh response, but fair enough, I will keep it in mind and I hope others do the same. But geez, we're talking about whether this person or that person can better read the mind of an 18 year old who likely remains ambivalent himself! If someone has some information that is at odds with our crimson colored glasses, I'd just as soon hear it so that I can try to decipher all the mixed messages that everyone, including the people actually involved, are getting. If we get too testy and just beat down other opinions, then I may be lead to believe we will actually sign everyone on the ESPN 150 list!
