You must drive much faster than I. Also, when I say "in reality," I'm assuming the average person will need to stop for gas and/or food in the span of 6-7 hours and I've never been on a freeway in or around LA when I didn't spend a length of time below 25 mph and/or stopped - so I included that assumption as well.

If you have to drive thru LA, i would definitely agree. However, to get to Pasadena, that isn't necessary. I lived in Citrus Heights for a while and made that drive many times.

Oh, and i have a large bladder.

The one I quoted below doesn't scream "Roll Tide" to me.

Ok, got it. I explained in the intro post, but i'm a lifelong Bruin fan who was fortunate enough to also attend UCLA. I've always like Alabama and disliked Auburn. Auburn always gave me that southern cal feeling. I now have family attending Alabama and another considering seriously considering it.

I guess i used the term "you" since i didn't attend school there and you are obviously much more die-hard fans of Bama than i am. Just showing respect.

You are correct that the words "hell" and "damn" are not banned. If they were, they would be filtered. However, you are very definitely pushing the line on the ban against "ignorant sparring." You have made your point that you do not believe EV has eliminated UCLA. We understand. You don't have to repeat it ten times. Now, that everyone understands, give it a rest and drop it...

Looking forward to his announcement. Hope we (that'd be Alabama) get some good news - and that we have room for everyone!

I think it's become obvious that we will not have room for everyone. What's astounding to me is some of the names which will be left standing on the curb as the bus departs...

Not sure. But the list of players you guys could still get per that update is absolutely absurd...So good.

The reason I asked is that, with crunch time coming, a lot of "experts" feel that they have to jump off the ledge and make a prediction. The V. family has held everything so close to the vest, I'd be astounded if any "expert" really had anything concrete for anything other than a SWAG. Your info that he's in regular touch with the UCLA staff would outweigh anything coming from a website guru...

That is true. I never thought about that. Lots of guys will start going out on a limb. But EV does, at least per last week, continue to call the UCLA coaches 3-4 times a week.

I also strongly think (based on updates/what I've heard) that Fitts will commit to UCLA. I guess Fitts might be announcing tomorrow, and was at USC last night and may have told the coaches in person (per Tyler James from rivals). I'm not sure how that will affect EV to UCLA though.

The 24/7 staff or BOL stated he is headed out of state and the picked ND today Picked bama friday. both picks were with under 40% confidence . So really they don't know. What we do know is that EV had a great visit and from what I've gathered he wants BAMA. Maybe bad info ,but that is what I've heard. RTR.

I find it a bit annoying that he's waiting so late in the day to announce. (Something like 7:00 CST) I know that he has to consider primarily his own interests, but, with our situation, there are going to be other kids whose futures depend on his decision. IF we get some commits from some of the outliers who have just now started to show some interest, I can see his being squeezed out, no matter how good he is. It will get down to the old "bird in the hand." However, over the years, I've learned that the public announcement times frequently do not correspond to what our coaches have been told in advance. I can think of one situation where a NSD flip caused Saban to go into a towering rage and turn the winning school in. (Hint: it's the same one everyone is talking about vaulting from 41st in the rankings to top 10, if not top 5...)

Given how late he's announcing, I would think EV would let the coaches know his intentions, so the staffs can make alternative moves. I doubt he won't know where he is going by Tuesday evening after factoring in all of his options with his family.

If it's really down to us and ND, I hope the staff has showed him highlights from the NC game a couple of times, in case he missed them.
