The fact that Eddie had planned to stay in state up until the last month concerned me from the beginning. I think after his departing with USC he decided to swing for the fences and take a look at some other bigtime programs around the country. But actually leaving the state did not hit home to him until he actually started making visits.

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems to me he will go to UCLA...good coach and rebuilding program. That said, he is really missing the opportunity of his life if he chooses not to come to T-Town. I wish him the very best of luck either way.

Can he be enough difference for ND to beat Bama for the title? Can he come close to a title at UCLA? He could suit up here and yell "boo" and watch those two teams panic.

I`d really like to know if:

1. He and A`Shawn Robinson have struck up a friendship as has been alluded to here.

2. If they have, if they`ve conferred about where they`re going to sign.

Might not make a bit of difference, but I`d still like to know.

The point on "inking" is that there are people who say the have knowledge of the situation (as always TIFWIW, I am just relaying the consensus feel among "experts" on him) that say he has chosen UCLA, will sign his LOI to send in tomorrow, and has already told their staff...

The reason I tend to believe them, even a bit, is because of his Dad. His mom didn't make the trip to Tuscaloosa, because it seems his Dad is the main voice outside of his own. Dad wants UCLA. Anyone who has read the last several pages know I wrote UCLA a few days ago. So it pains me to even say they are in it, much less going to land him. As I always say, recruiting is fluid. Things may change in the next 24 hours, but as of this exact moment...I feel EV goes to UCLA. Which pains me, because he is my favorite recruit this year...

Anyone saying he has chosen UCLA and told their staff is way way way off base. he may chose Ucla ,but he has informed no one at this time.

Also, UCLA had a NSD presser set for tomorrow afternoon, but have moved it until after the EV decision... Not sure if that means anything or not, just passing the info along..

Matt, does EV`s Dad favor UCLA because it`s closer? He thinks it`s a better program? Both? Neither?

That's big of you Matt. Kudos. Where's BruinTide?

Greetings, my friend. All i can say is that all 3 teams are still a possibility. Anyone who says they know what EV will do is kidding themselves. I wouldn't even venture to put a percentage on his options. Hope this doesn't come off as "ignorant" ; ) Last i've heard is that ND is definitely still a player for EV.

btw, southern cal lost another 5* committ today. DB Jalen Ramsey has apparently flipped to FSU.
Also hearing 4* DE Jason Hatcher may flip to Kentucky.

Hatcher has decomitted & I love that Kiffen is struggling. Karma is a B****. Also, guess who is on the Ole Miss Staff a Kiffen (younger brother of lame.)

You were saying UCLA was out of it as late as yesterday.

Seems as if EV's dad favors UCLA, his mom favors ND and he is conflicted. In re:dad - he loves Coach McClure and the rest of the staff. Also likes the location and the quality of education.

Just proximity from what I have heard... They have had a really good relationship with the staff there too. Especially the new DC, who was at Cal prior. I think it mainly boils down to his (the Dad) comfort with UCLA and the proximity.
