In an interview, he named Pruitt as the reason for going to FSU...
Not Jam, but everything I have read says we are in the drivers seat with Cornwell and if we offer, I believe he will commit.
Oh well. We can't get them all. We have some good players in state this year at LB that we seem to have a good chance at, so it's not a huge blow for our '14 recruiting efforts. I'm more interested in shoring up our OT and CB positions. We do need an inside backer or two for the '14 class; I'm hoping Tre Williams is one of them (S. Hamilton may be inside, but it sounds like he'd make a good Sam too).
Bama definitely appears to be in the drivers seat with David Cornwell. He'll fit in perfectly with what Saban wants to do on offense. Here's a scouting report we did on Cornwell. It's free, so check it out and let us know if you have any questions.

Bama is looking good to land all the top in-state LBs in this class.

Hopefully, SDH commits next week and then we add TW at some point. Bone was really high on the OL Casher from the Rivals camp. Makes me wonder if we offer because he sounds solid to the barn. He's also an interior OL and I know we are going strong after Sims and Taylor. I just hate the idea of losing a sleeper to the barn.
SDH?![]()
Tre Williams has too many ties to Auburn. Half his family is close with Dameyune Craig.
agree on the family ties, but in the end TW must make a business and financial decision and that means wearing Crimson. our chances with him is better than what most ppl predicted earlier.
That's the way we see it but is that the way someone with FAMBLY ties sees it? Who knows?
Yes I do. That's all he really is waiting on.Jambama1 do you think Cornwell will commit to us after the coaching staff watches him throw?

Oklahoma hasn't paid him much attention because of the other prospect. Plus, Cornwell didn't grow up in Oklahoma. He moved as a kid.I know OU has their sites on another prospect, but he is rated lower than Cornwell on almost every measurable. Does Cornwell simply not want to stay home, is he not happy with the style of O they play? Just curious....
