He just needs a pulse to beat the orange piece of trash.

I disagree. Really he needs to pick the 47th president while picking a VP. I agree more with Clyburn in that it probably should be a woman of color, but that probably shouldn't be a reason to just say Kamala. I think Susan Rice and Abrams are his best choices right now. However Whitmer (white) has made it interesting through her spats with Trump over the past few weeks.

I think Klob should be avoided no matter what though. I think Warren while interesting, would probably push the Bernie fans to truly rebel against the Democratic party.

That may be true but for the good of the country he needs to pick someone that is qualified to be president. I just don't see Joe Biden lasting (whether you are talking physically or mentally) for eight more years.

I agree, and kinda hope that he will pick someone like Warren, but he won't.

i don't think warren would make a good choice. she will be much more effective as an ally in the senate. also, her replacement would be picked by a republican governor, which if the senate is in balance would be a massive own goal.

Agree, but America needs left of center leadership right now.

i think the control of congress is more important than the ideology of democratic executive branch. besides, biden is going to govern left of center.
No way the DNC loses the House, and I don't ever want a single party to have the House, Senate and President.

Picking Warren will be like picking Hillary. Progressives are totally mad at Warren, and she offers him nothing state wise. If he truly wants the progressive base and strengthen the African American base then he needs to go with Nina Turner. But my issue with Nina is the same with Bernie, America doesn't want a true "progressive" right now. I think Whitmer, Abrams, and Rice are his best options right now.

Oh, I know all of these things. I just wish we had someone more left.

A Senate vacancy triggers an immediate special election in Massachusetts, although the governor gets to appoint a temporary replacement.
