Vandy/Arizona has been a really good game. Arizona got three off Rocker in the first. Vandy finally took a 1 run lead only to see Arizona rally to tie it in the top of the 9th. It's currently 6-6 going to the bottom of the 11th.

NC State pounded Stanford in the opener 10-4.

After squandering a bases loaded, 1 out situation in the 11th, Vandy gets a bases loaded single in the 12th to win. A good game from a spectator point of view. Vandy v. NC State in a winner's bracket game.

Tomorrow has Virginia v. Tennessee in the afternoon game and Miss. State v. Texas in the nightcap.

i dont think vandy is going to win it this year. I dont think they have the bats and they used alot of pitching last night. I think NC St and Texas may be the best teams in Omaha.

Rocker only threw 100 pitches and has several days off. Both middle relievers were under 50 pitches each. I think Vandy has plenty of pitching depth. Plus, they won. Vandy/NC State should be a good game.

Tennessee was anemic at the plate today - especially with runners on and in scoring position. No tears from us for the vols in that 6-0 loss.

State and Texas are underway. I'd like to see State win that one but Texas has looked strong in getting to Omaha.

I just dont buy Vandy. Their aces were very up and down in Hoover, and Rocker didnt look good here. Vandy beat Arizona because of an umpire and depth. Their hitting just isnt good enough to win it.

State beats Texas in a pitchers duel. But I really dont trust MSU just yet.

Was watching the UT game and late in the game the announcers were discussing the UT fans and them being so quiet and how they where not used to be shutout, at least in baseball . .Classic jab at that bunch! I don't know who I hate more the Vols or Aubie but that was funny! Screw SEC loyalty I hope the Vold lose the next one and get sent packing!

I'd be happy to see Vandy or Miss. State win the World Series.

I would be even happier to see the Viles lose to Texas and get sent home winless.

Stanford eliminated Arizona 14-5 this afternoon.

First pitch coming up in a few minutes for Vandy vs. NC State in a winner's bracket game. Jack Leiter should be on the mound. NC State can flat out hit the ball so it should be a good game to watch.

Vandy loses 1-0 to NC State. Great pitching by both sides. Vandy plays Stanford in an elimination game Wednesday night.

Today should be Tennessee's last day as they play Texas in a loser's bracket game. Miss. State plays Virginia in the late game.

As expected, Tennessee is headed home after an 8-4 loss to Texas. The UT bench coach ejection was both funny and sad. I will say, as a former umpire, I didn't really care for the 3rd base umpire ejecting the guy in the 1st base dugout which was about 120 feet away from him. If the beef was balls and strikes then the home plate umpire should have made the call if he felt it was warranted. Anyone else think LSU has been waiting for UT's season to end to talk to Vitello?

State, after being no hit through 7, rallies for 6 runs in the 8th and beats Virginia 6-5. State is now 2-0 and plays the UVA/Texas winner.

Just realized Vandy left-fielder - Javier Vaz - is son of perhaps the best Bama baseball player ever - Roberto Vaz. Roberto played during the Jim Wells era. No "perhaps" when it comes to Jim Wells - without a doubt the best years for Bama baseball.

If Vaz hadn't broken his foot by stepping on a ball during BP, we'd have beaten LSU in the CWS finals in 1997.

Only one game today, Texas v. Virginia in an elimination game - which is in a weather delay. The winner plays Miss State Friday evening.

At some point in the late night/early morning Texas beat Virginia, 6-2. We're down to 4 teams remaining and everybody plays today. Vandy/NC State at 1:00 (central) and Texas/Miss State at 6:00. Vandy and Texas need wins in order to play again tomorrow.

NC State with serious Covid issues, hate to see this at this point in the series. If they lose, they may get some guys back but who really knows?

Vandy is still not swinging the bats well at all but manage to scratch out a 3-1 win over a Covid depleted NC State squad. The same 2 teams play again tomorrow at 1:00 with the winner advancing to the CWS finals.
