4* OLB Jalon Walker announcing later this month and we are in his final group. Mack Brown does not lose too many NC kids he wants so we may just be a hat on the table.

We are a hat on the table...this is a Clemson-UNC battle. Clemson has a slight edge as of right now.

One more comment on Early “Wynn” — his rep as a knockdown specialist. He liked to say he’d knock down his own grandmother if she dug in on him. I read somewhere that he knocked down his 15 yr old son during batting practice when the kid got a good swing on him. He actually didn’t hit that many batters but the threat was definitely there.

Great story and how baseball should be played.

With us stockpiling wr’s in the 2021 class, how many do yall think we take in the ‘22 group? I’m thinking we have to take at least 3 due to style of O we now employ and attrition/portal possibilities.

Dad threw at me in the cage all of the time...How else do you learn to stay in the box?
(Dad also got drafted by the White Sox, so he wasn't into the everyone gets a trophy culture...you learned and earned!!!)
My son was a pitcher in high school. One of the first things I taught him was that his mindset should be all 17 inches across that plate belong to you. If that means throwing 6 inches off of it inside to assure that, then so be it.

Anybody know where we stand with Antonio Kite? Looks like a pretty phenomenal athlete on the basketball court too. Maybe more realistic for him to play bball as well compared to Kool-Aid and Terrion. Would love to have in in the '22 class.

From all I've heard Bama is in good position, but they are still feeling each other out. He has only played one year of football so he doesn't have a relationship with football staffs like other prospects who may have been getting recruited for years. He is not the only one like this. This year's class will be smaller due to the size of the 2021 class, and the staff hasn't been able to be around a lot of these kids or see them in person due to the pandemic. A lot of kids may say Bama is high on their list or a leader, but might not be a take at this time because Bama is being cautious with the limited class, and want to see some of these kids in person.

Knocking down your son...?
He did not hit him. You should teach your kids how the game is played and at age 15 that is what he did. Pitchers need to own the plate. On the other hand I played D1 college baseball and we were taught and practiced getting hit by a pitch by moving our shoulder or arm in the way of an inside pitch. It is truly taking one for the team and how the game used to be taught. Sorry for hi-jacking the thread.

TIFWIW, but I saw a BOL article that said this signing class will be smaller than usual, we will be very selective and we will take two WR in this class.

I'm hearing rumors that we may be threatening Texas on Devon Campbell. One source tells me that Marrone and Graham have both made huge inroads with him, while another source tells me there's nothing to it. Curious what the thinking is over here.

5* RB Emannuel Henderson announcing on Saturday. We look very good to add our 2nd 5* to this class.

Hope we get Henderson. We already have a crazy RB room, but as we all know, you can never have too many.

Whether Henderson goes with us or not, I love the HS coach’s name: JimBob Striplin, Head Ball Coach of the Geneva County Alabama Fightin’ Bulldogs.

You can’t make that stuff up.

Henderson is quoted as saying he would play the slot but he is a natural RB and I think that is what he ends up playing.

Yep, reminds me of Bama great Jimbob Harris that played for Bear (he and Tommy Wilcox were our starting safeties).
