I'm glad she got to see Bibb Graves renamed before she passed. What a strong, brave woman, a real pioneer. I can't imagine how hard that was for her.

She probably doesn’t get the attention she deserves since she didn’t stay long due to a bunch of racist idiots protesting and was several years before the schoolhouse door incident.

At least she went out on a high note seeing her name on the building and Bibb Graves being relegated to the dustbin of history.

Ned Eisenberg of Law & Order: SVU dead at 65. He’d been fighting two rare cancers. Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer, ”my” cancer) and ocular melanoma. He died a couple of weeks back, but I just saw this on a FB support group today.
