Little confused by this one. Clearly not highly ranked. Looks very strong from the highlights I saw at DE. Wonder if they are thinking of having him at edge?

I'm a little surprised at the SEC interest in a small private school athlete. he must really compete well at camps.

My freshman roommate at Bama was a Patrician Academy grad. He drank himself out of school.

Small school kids play both ways so he has some highlights on defense but he is coming in as a line blocking TE per the title of this thread and the attached articles.

Jay said in an article that Saban told him no offense but he was going to have to see him at camp and in person if he wanted a scholarship due to the level he plays at. He did well at camp and got the offer.

That boy likes pancakes and crossing routes.

Seriously, he moves well for a bigger guy. Guys like that don't always look fast but they cover a lot of ground!

I get excited about guys like this. It seems that we are finding some of those underrated guys we used to find in the early Saban years. The “three stars” who have something to prove because they know they are not three stars.
