You’re right, Tommy called the plays like an old seasoned vet.Last year wasn’t on CTR. He set up good plays he couldn’t go out and throw the pass and snap the ball too.
Ehhhh, we'll see based how JM looks in 2024.Last year wasn’t on CTR. He set up good plays he couldn’t go out and throw the pass and snap the ball too.
Good point. I’m hoping for some real growth from him, but the Molroe from last year couldn’t read the field at all. That had to be incredibly hard to call plays for. From what I read he couldn’t read a defensive end on a read option play. Maybe that’s wrong but if not that’s wild on the major college level.Ehhhh, we'll see based how JM looks in 2024.
I've no idea what to expect, but I also don't know that Rees is much of a QB developer. Time will tell.Good point. Besides the Kevin Steele hire, CNS has made some pretty bad assistant coach hires in his last few years of coaching before he hung it up. Several positions did not get the coaching they needed, and why CNS didn't get rid of them sooner is a mystery, I guess.I've no idea what to expect, but I also don't know that Rees is much of a QB developer. How does his size compare to Waddell and Smith? Concerns me a bit relative to him staying healthy. I realize he`ll never be a " big " receiver, but......They say games are won in the trenches. If so, I think we'll win quite a few this season. This catch by Ryan Williams reminds me of Smitty's catch against LSU.View attachment 44808
He’s Smith’s size, maybe smaller. He’s also just a high school senior, literally. The fact he’s wowing at college scrimmages is a big deal. How does his size compare to Waddell and Smith? Concerns me a bit relative to him staying healthy. I realize he`ll never be a " big " receiver, but......
Can't the quarterback get the ball closer...?They say games are won in the trenches. If so, I think we'll win quite a few this season. This catch by Ryan Williams reminds me of Smitty's catch against LSU.View attachment 44808
He's a little bigger than Devonta. Williams is listed at 6' 1" 175 lbs and Devonta is listed at 6' 0" and 170 lbs and they are very similar in skill set also IMO.How does his size compare to Waddell and Smith? Hopefully the Slim Reaper redux! He's a little bigger than Devonta. Williams is listed at 6' 1" 175 lbs and Devonta is listed at 6' 0" and 170 lbs and they are very similar in skill set also IMO.
I'm glad to see Odom at WR. Never understood why he was listed as a tight end to begin with. Sure, he has the height, but at only 227 pounds nowhere near the mass. Plus, he's just not built to put on a ton of weight. I think he's found his spot.
They changed his height on the official roster to 6'0". He must have shrunk like I have. He's a little bigger than Devonta. Williams is listed at 6' 1" 175 lbs and Devonta is listed at 6' 0" and 170 lbs and they are very similar in skill set also IMO.
The defensive backs also want to know. Can't the quarterback get the ball closer...?
Hopefully he is a mis-match comparable to A&M's Mike Evans.I'm glad to see Odom at WR. Never understood why he was listed as a tight end to begin with. Too bad. “The Running of the Gumps” always signaled the true start of the college football season for me….Not much of a turnout for Fan Day.
