Didn't get to do one of these last year because we were moving and I just couldn't find the time. Information is typically a lot easier to come by now because more and more people are tracking transfers and portal entries, but figured I'd make this and keep it updated when any new information comes out. If anybody has any news, leave a post and I'll add the information to this post.

All-in-all, losing a lot of players this offseason, so hopefully Vaughn is ready to attack the portal to get some immediate contributors

Graduating (all currently listed Seniors and any who have exhausted all eligibility - including COVID year)(14)
Jim Jarvis -- Senior
William Hamiter -- Senior -- Reports are that he's returning (Unconfirmed)
Antoine Jean -- Senior
Brayden Gainey -- Senior
Jake Leger -- Senior
Garrett McMillan -- Senior
Walt Bailey -- Senior
Tommy Seidl -- RS Senior
Ed Johnson -- Graduate Student
Drew Williamson -- Graduate Student
Ryan Guardino -- Graduate Student
Jackson Reynolds -- Graduate Student
Jacob McNairy -- Graduate Student
Hunter Hoopes -- Graduate Student

* The true seniors still have a COVID year available to them (this is the last class that will be applicable to), so they could potentially come back. I'll update this post if news comes out about any of them staying.

Transfers (Out)
Evan Chaffee -- St. John's
Max Williams -- Florida St.
Gavin Jones -- Kent St
Colby Shelton -- Florida
Bryce Eblin -- Returning to UA
Jaxson West -- Florida St.
Brock Blatter -- USCw
Kade Woods -- LSU
Luke Holman -- LSU
Antoine Jean -- Destination Unknown

* Reminder that players can remove their name from the portal at any time, so just because they enter the portal, it doesn't mean they have to transfer.

Transfers (In)
Evan Sleight (OF) -- Rutgers
Ian Petrutz (OF) -- Maryland
TJ McCants (OF) -- Ole Miss
Coulson Buchanan (RHP) -- Wofford
Bobby Alcock (RHP) -- Gardner Webb
Will Plattner (C) -- Ole Miss
Max Grant (INF) -- Canisius

Drafted Players (adding UDFA deals to this list, also)
Andrew Pinckney -- 102nd overall (4th round) Nationals -- Signed (7/17/23)
Grayson Hitt -- 112th overall (4th round) Diamondbacks -- Signed (7/18/23)
Hunter Furtado -- 167th overall (6th round) Pirates -- Signed (7/20/23)
Caden Rose -- 208th overall (7th round) Red Sox -- Signed (7/13/23)
Jim Jarvis -- 320th overall (11th round) Tigers -- Signed (7/20/23)
Garrett McMillan -- 407th overall (14th round) Pirates -- Signed (7/17/23)
Dominic Tamez -- Undrafted -- Signed UDFA with White Sox

Drafted Signees

Bryce Eldridge -- 16th overall (1st round) Giants -- Signed (7/17/23)
A.J. Ewing -- 134th overall (4C round) Mets -- Signed (7/15/23)
Jeremy Pilon -- 543rd overall (18th round) Rays -- Signed (7/19/23)

It is… among other things. He will have a great chance to go to Omaha at Florida or LSU with less cost to play.
Just meant that if it was money related, there's no chance he stays, but if not, there's at least an opportunity to convince him to return.

unless there is a massive donor that supports the baseball team then no we don’t have a chance. Even then probably not. Our only shot was for the new coach to sell him on his vision and apparently he couldn’t.

Then them's the breaks. We hired who we hired. If he doesn't like him, he definitely has the option to transfer. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

I’m actually surprised we got him to begin with. But then again Florida and LSU have been loaded with the COVID class seniors so not a lot of room.

But I kinda expected him to move on from us even before Vaughn was hired… especially with the season he had. No one that good with that many better options wants to play on a team that just lost 6 bats in the lineup.

Yeah I fear we are probably not done losing players. No one wants to be on a 3-5 year rebuilding project these days.
Probably. Such is life in college baseball these days. You gotta recruit the portal as hard or harder than you do HS or JUCO.

Not all of them needed to stay though. Would definitely be nice to have Kade back though.

This is just brutal. I am getting to tbe point of why watch college athletics anymore. Had a kid from my hometown go to Colorado w Coach Prime. 4 star WR. He got for 40k as an nil deal to come to campus. Baseball is not football, I know this, but there is real money in it. Many baseball players have academic scholarships to help out. Just appears bama has been left in the dust or simply doesn’t care that much since it isn’t football, granted Oats seems to be doing ok.

Well again Oats has full scholarships to offer, and has a larger margin of error with missing on recruits.

Alabama's only hope in getting to Omaha is one of two things.... 1) Create a long term culture in sticking with a guy for ten years no matter what the SEC record is or 2) just have one of those lucky breaks in which everything goes right and you have a decent team. The latter might have happened if it wasnt for our seeding, but then again we were blessed with an easy regional compared to many others. But the former is one that will constantly bring the fire and pitchforks out every 3 years because we are the bottom half of the SEC.

Vaughn might be a good coach, but he is going to have 3 years in which we are going to be struggling just to get to Hoover that might put some pressure on him like it did with Bo. When others are able to give out full scholarships and perks like candy, and we are stuck arguing percentages.... then you can see that a good coach isnt enough to win at a place like Alabama who really isnt that invested in the success of the program.

People constantly want to say "The NIL should make Bama competitive". Well 3 things.... 1) Those other 12 teams (soon to be 14) that have full scholarships to hand out have NIL money too... and loads more of it specifically designated at the baseball, 2) Bama fans dont really support the program and 3) what NIL money we do have goes to football then basketball.

Alabama is a football and sometimes a basketball school. Our success in the other sports really hinges on luck and culture. The fallout after this year goes to prove it, and its like Ive said for years... If you fire Bo then you are setting Alabama back 3-5 years. Yes Bryne had to fire him under circumstances, but what was actually gained has effectively been destroyed completely even with Jackson staying on. I foresee more going after next weekend and we may field a team that would struggle against JUCO teams in the state.

Well, I hope you are wrong for obvious reasons, but after what happened to softball last year w all the defections, it makes you wonder. I do, unfortunately, see dark days ahead. Sucks tbh.

Colby Shelton has chosen to transfer to Florida. I'm sure that was very above board with no tampering involved at all, considering UF hasn't been in town to host him since he "officially" entered the portal...

Being reported that Luke Holman has also entered the portal.

No idea if this is NIL oriented or not, but we better find a way to get competitive with these NIL offers or we may not field a team next year.
